Our History
Physicians of Tennessee Orthopaedic
Associates and The Lipscomb Clinic have provided medical care for injured athletes in
Nashville and Middle Tennessee for over four decades. In 1996, these two distinguished
groups merged to form Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance, the largest and most experienced
group of orthopaedic and Sports Medicine physicians in Tennessee.
The Lipscomb Sports Medicine Center of the Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance consists of
physicians and ancillary personnel who are specifically trained to understand the needs of
athletes. Whether professional, intercollegiate, interscholastic or recreational, marathon
runners or weekend warriors, the physicians and clinical staff of the Sports Medicine
Center provide care to all types of athletes.
Why The Sports Medicine Center
