Fees and Insurance:
Payment in full is expected at
time of your visit, unless prior arrangements have been made. Exceptions include
pre-paid insurance plans, such as preferred provide programs (PPOs), Health Maintenance
Organizations (HMOs), point of service products, and independent practice associates
(IPAs). We accept Visa, Master Charge, and American Express as well as cash.It is the responsibility of the patient to follow the referral
guidelines of your health coverage carrier before seeking specialty care. The
Lipscomb Clinic will look to the patient for deductible and coinsurance payments.
Insurance claims will be filed for the health insurance
plans in which our clinic is a participant.
Please call us if you are in doubt as to whether your
insurance plan is one in which we can participate.
When The Lipscomb Clinic files claims for benefits or
services rendered, benefits are assigned to The Lipscomb Clinic. Please remember
that insurance coverage is a contract between the patient and the health coverage carrier.
The Lipscomb Clinic will look to the patient for payment in full of any balance.
If you are being treated as the result of an injury, we
require a detailed description of the injury and how it occurred.
Many Insurance plans now require pre-certification or
prompt notification upon entering the hospital. Compliance with the requirements of
your plan is your responsibility. Please let your physician know if your plan
requires pre-certification.
