Our History
Founded by Dr. A. Brant Lipscomb, Sr., The Lipscomb Clinic is one of the nations most respected centers for sports medicine and orthopaedic surgery. The practice has grown from three physicians in 1975 to the present group of nine physicians representing sports medicine, hand surgery, spinal surgery, total joint replacement, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and treatment of foot and ankle injuries, as well as general orthopaedic care.
In 1996, The Lipscomb Clinic merged with the physicians of the Tennessee Orthopaedic Associates, creating the Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance, the largest and most experienced group of orthopaedic physicians in Tennessee.
